Session Terms

These Session Terms apply to every portrait session booked with Brandi Michelle Photo, a DBA of Hey Peanut LLC. By booking a session, you agree to them. If you have any questions, just ask!

Booking & payment

Sessions are paid in full at booking, through my booking system (Acuity Scheduling) with payments processed by Stripe. Session prices are listed before tax, and Texas sales tax is added to your total at checkout. Add-ons, like hair & makeup, are paid at booking too. Sessions need to be booked at least 3 days in advance, so there’s time to plan and prepare.

Rescheduling

You can reschedule through your confirmation email up to 48 hours before your session. There are no cancellations, only reschedules. But life happens… if something serious comes up, reach out to me directly and we’ll figure it out together.

If I need to reschedule

If I ever need to reschedule your session, it won’t cost you anything, and we’ll find a new date together. If a new date doesn’t work for you (for example, you’re in town for a limited time or you have a deadline), you’ll receive a full refund.

Your creative consult

Every session includes a creative consult, booked after your session. It’s where we plan everything: your goals, outfits, sets, hair & makeup looks, lighting and posing.

Arriving & running late

Plan to arrive about 20 minutes before your start time; I’ll confirm the exact time with you before your session. If you’re running behind, let me know. I’ll stretch our time if the schedule allows, but I can’t promise it, since there may be another session after yours.

Outfits & sets

Each session includes a set number of outfits and sets: Mini includes 1 outfit and 1 set, Classic up to 2 outfits and 1 set, and Editorial up to 3 outfits and up to 2 sets. An outfit is a full wardrobe change; swapping a jacket, layer or accessories won’t go against your outfit count. A set is a new backdrop or scene. We’ll plan your outfits and sets together at your consult.

Hair & makeup

Hair & makeup is an add-on, done at my studio before your session. Your booking time is when hair & makeup starts, and your session follows. I arrange your artist, and if one isn’t available for your time, I’ll reach out to you to work out the options.

Guests, kids & pets

Guests are absolutely welcome, and kids too, as long as a parent or guardian is with them. Pets aren’t allowed in the building, per the building’s policy.

Your images

Each session includes fully retouched images: 2 for Mini, 5 for Classic and 10 for Editorial. Your gallery will be ready within 3–5 business days in your private online gallery, and most images can be downloaded right away. Any images that need extra retouching follow 1–3 business days after that. Holidays can stretch this timing a bit, and if anything’s going to take longer than expected, I’ll let you know.

Additional images are $25 each and are fully retouched. You can also purchase your full gallery at a discount; full gallery images are fully edited, but don’t include extra retouching requests. Prints can be ordered from your gallery and are shipped directly to you.

Using your images

I keep the copyright to all images I create, and you receive a license to use your images for personal use: share them, print them and post them. Promoting yourself is personal use too, so using your headshot on your website, LinkedIn, business cards or social profiles is totally okay. Commercial use, like ads, product packaging or selling the images, isn’t included. If you need your images for something like that, reach out and we’ll talk through the details.

How I may share your images

I may share images from your session in my portfolio, on my website and social media, and in my marketing, including ads. If you’d prefer I keep your images private, just let me know before your session.

Travel sessions

If you’d like your session at a location of your choice, a travel fee may apply. We’ll agree on the details before your session.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The terms in place when you booked are the ones that apply to your session.
