Privacy Policy

Brandi Michelle Photo is a DBA of Hey Peanut LLC, a portrait studio in Clear Lake (Houston), Texas. This policy explains what information I collect through this website and the tools I use to book sessions and deliver galleries, how I use it, and the choices you have.

The short version: I only collect what I need to book and photograph you, deliver your images and run my business, and I never sell your information.

Information I collect

Information you give me.

• Contact form: your name, email, phone number and anything you write in your message.
• Booking: when you book through Acuity Scheduling, your name, email, phone number, session details, add-ons and your answers to my intake questions.
• Payment: payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe; I never see or store your full card number.
• Your gallery: your online gallery is hosted by Pic-Time, which keeps your email, your favorites, your orders and, for prints, your shipping address.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site uses cookies and similar tools, including Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel. They collect things like the pages you visit, how you found the site, your device and browser type and your general location. This information doesn’t tell me who you are.

How I use your information

• To reply to your questions and plan your session with you
• To schedule your session, consult and any hair & makeup
• To process payments and sales tax
• To deliver your gallery and any print orders
• To send emails about your session, like confirmations, reminders and gallery links
• To understand how people use this site, so I can make it better
• To show my ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who might be interested in a session
• To keep the business and tax records every business needs

Who I share it with

I don’t sell or rent your information. I only share it with the services that help me run my business, and only as much as they need:

• Acuity Scheduling (by Squarespace) for booking
• Stripe for payments
• Pic-Time for galleries, downloads and print orders
• Google for my calendar, video consults (Google Meet) and website analytics
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for ads and the Instagram feed on this site
• WP Engine, which hosts this website
• Your hair & makeup artist, if you add hair & makeup: they receive your name, session time and the looks we’ve planned

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. I may also share information if the law requires it.

Cookies and tracking

Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel use cookies to measure visits and ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, and manage the ads you see in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings.

Emails

If you book with me or reach out, I’ll email you about your session. If I start a newsletter, you may receive an opt-in request. If you join, you can unsubscribe anytime.

Your photos

Your session images are stored in your private online gallery. How I may share images from your session, and how to opt out, is covered in my Session Terms.

How long I keep your information

I keep your information for as long as I need it to work with you and run my business. Booking and payment records are kept as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes.

Your choices

You can ask me what information I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just email brandi@brandimichellephoto.com. I’ll take care of it, except for records I need to keep for taxes and accounting.

Children

This website isn’t meant for children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information online. Kids are welcome at sessions with a parent or guardian, and any information about a minor is provided by their parent or guardian.

Keeping your information safe

I use trusted services with strong security for booking, payments and galleries, and I keep access to your information limited to what’s needed. No system is perfect, but I take protecting your information seriously.

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
